KBC Technology's carbon fiber composite crucible project has been approved for inclusion in the National High-Tech Industrialization Special Program.

　　According to the Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission's "Notice on Forwarding the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission's Reply Regarding the 2008 Special Fund for Industrialization of High-Tech Projects such as Bio-based Materials, High-Performance Fiber Composite Materials, and Satellite Applications" (Hunan Development and Reform Commission [2009] No. 197), the high-tech industrialization demonstration project for preparing large-size, high-performance carbon fiber composite crucibles by Hunan KBC Composite Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has been approved under the national special fund for industrialization of high-performance fiber composite materials, securing a national funding subsidy of 8 million yuan. Once the project proposal has been reviewed by experts organized by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the national funds will be disbursed. Among the three national high-tech industrialization projects approved in our province, only three have been selected—each falling under the high-performance fiber composite materials category. Successfully applying for a national high-tech industrialization project is no easy feat; it requires the technology to be at the forefront within the province before submission to the National Development and Reform Commission. Moreover, the province is allocated just 3 or 5 slots for project nominations. Only when the technology demonstrates nationwide leadership can the project hope to secure funding, as the selection process involves rigorous expert reviews, expert defenses, and on-site inspections conducted by specialized panels, ultimately leading to prioritized support for the most promising initiatives.

　　The High-Tech Industrial Demonstration Project for Preparing Large-Scale, High-Performance Carbon Fiber Composite Crucibles by Hunan KBC Composite Materials Technology Co., Ltd. primarily focuses on advancing the application of technologies such as the preparation of integrated carbon fiber preforms for crucibles and high-temperature thermal shock cycling purification processes. This initiative aims to achieve the industrial-scale production of large-sized, all-carbon fiber composite crucibles, thereby meeting China's growing demand for crucible equipment. The project will mainly involve constructing a carbon fiber composite crucible production line, ultimately establishing an annual production capacity of 2,000 high-performance, large-size carbon fiber composite crucibles.
