On the morning of May 29, a team of experts from the Aerospace Materials Division of Hunan Boyun New Material Co., Ltd., led by General Manager Xiong Jie and Deputy General Manager Li Hongmei, visited KBC Co., Ltd. for an inspection.
Company leaders provided the expert panel with a detailed overview of the company’s production processes for its product series, including control procedures, technical specifications, product performance, and capacity planning. Building on the earlier phase of small-batch trial production, both sides engaged in an in-depth and meticulous exchange regarding the process review and finalization of carbon fiber preforms for brake discs of a specific aircraft model intended for mass delivery. They also discussed and coordinated key aspects such as the technical requirements for bulk preform delivery, factory-quality standards, and the targeted delivery timeline. The expert panel highly praised the company’s technical capabilities and its progress to date, expressing strong confidence in the promising prospects of their ongoing collaboration.
Hunan Boyun New Materials Co., Ltd.'s Aerospace Materials Division conducts application technology research and development in key areas such as aviation brake materials and aerospace ablation materials, with its technological capabilities reaching domestic leading and internationally advanced levels. On March 28, 2023, COMAC held its 2023 Supplier Conference in Shanghai. Boyun New Materials, as the domestic supplier responsible for developing the C919 passenger aircraft's wheel-brake system, was invited to attend the conference and was honored with the title of "Advanced Collective for C919 Large Passenger Aircraft TC Certification."
