To carry forward the traditional Chinese virtue of respecting and caring for the elderly, and to fully leverage the Party organization's role as a fighting fortress as well as the exemplary leadership of its members, on the afternoon of June 13th—just ahead of the Dragon Boat Festival and the Party’s birthday—the Party branch of Hunan KBC Composite Materials Technology Co., Ltd. organized all its party members, probationary members, and aspiring入党 candidates to visit and offer comfort to lonely and impoverished seniors at the Dengshiqiao Nursing Home in Yiyang High-tech Zone. Li Yixiong, Deputy Director of the High-tech Zone Party and Mass Work Department, attended the event.
Around 3 p.m., we rushed to Dengshiqiao Nursing Home, where we sat together with the elderly, sharing heartfelt conversations and catching up on family matters. We then presented each resident with a thoughtful gift basket containing essential holiday supplies such as rice, cooking oil, preserved eggs, fresh fruits, and zongzi. Words of sincere blessings, paired with simple yet meaningful gifts, brought a warm sense of care straight to the hearts of the seniors. Moved by everyone’s enthusiasm, the entire nursing home was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and harmony.
During the event, all team members who participated in the visit expressed that while bringing warmth and care to the elderly residents of the nursing home, their understanding of respecting and honoring the elderly became even clearer. They pledged to actively join such activities in the future, aiming to extend their compassion to more lonely and vulnerable seniors in need of assistance.
Lonely and widowed seniors need enduring care—let’s start with the little things in our daily lives, making small yet meaningful gestures to show our compassion. Together, we can bring warmth and comfort to these elderly individuals who often feel isolated. Taking this as an opportunity, we urge people from all walks of life to lend a helping hand, ensuring that lonely and widowed seniors can enjoy their golden years in peace—and to contribute your own strength toward building a harmonious society.
