The three industry standards spearheaded by the company have been approved.

Release date:

2014-10-15

According to a notice from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, the three standards—YS/T977-2014 "Insulation Cylinder Made of Carbon/Carbon Composite for Single-Crystal Furnaces," YS/T978-2014 "Flow Guide Cylinder Made of Carbon/Carbon Composite for Single-Crystal Furnaces," and YS/T982-2014 "U-shaped Heating Element Made of Carbon/Carbon Composite for Hydrogenation Furnaces"—led by our company in their development, have been approved and will be published by the China Standards Publishing House. These standards will come into effect on April 1, 2015 (for details, see Announcement [No. 63 of 2014] dated October 14, 2014). Notably, the standard YS/T792-2012 "Carbon/Carbon Composite Crucible for Single-Crystal Furnaces," which was already promulgated and implemented on March 1, 2013, brings the total number of industry standards developed by our company for high-temperature thermal field materials used in silicon material preparation to four as of now.

Table 1 The three standards jointly developed by the company were released this time.

The aforementioned standards regulate the production, distribution, and usage of three key components in the thermal system of single-crystal pulling furnaces—namely, the crucible, insulation cylinder, and flow guide tube—as well as the U-shaped heating element used as the primary heating component in hydrogenation furnaces for purifying polycrystalline silicon. This helps promote the widespread adoption of carbon/carbon composite thermal materials, a resource-efficient and environmentally friendly product, while also enabling crystal silicon manufacturers to achieve energy savings, reduce consumption, lower costs, and enhance workplace safety. Moreover, these standards provide a solid foundation for establishing an orderly market environment, thereby fostering the growth of both silicon material producers and carbon/carbon composite manufacturing enterprises.
