On December 14, the highly anticipated delivery ceremony for the Hauto SSR production vehicle was successfully concluded at the company headquarters. The event drew extensive media attention, with guests including Academician Huang Boyun from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Zhang Dou, Director of the Powder Metallurgy Research Institute at Central South University, and Mr. Xi Zhongmin, Deputy General Manager of GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., all attending in person to witness this significant moment.

At the delivery ceremony, the company chairman delivered a welcoming speech, extending greetings to everyone and highlighting the successful application of KBC carbon/ceramic discs on China's supercars. The mass production of KBC carbon/ceramic brake discs marks a significant milestone, elevating the company’s capabilities in R&D, prototype testing, verification, and standard-setting to a new level—now reaching world-class, cutting-edge standards.

Aion Deputy General Manager Xi Zhongmin detailed how the AION Hyper SSR, as Hauwell's first model—a pure-electric luxury supercar—combines an unparalleled driving experience with cutting-edge, trendsetting technological aesthetics, all while striving to create a masterpiece of ultimate performance and luxurious artistry.

Academician Huang, in his speech, first congratulated GAC Aion on fulfilling the dream of countless Chinese people—to create a pure-electric supercar entirely made in China, a truly remarkable achievement. The automotive industry has always been a vital pillar of our nation's economy, and developing a fully domestically designed Chinese supercar undoubtedly represents a "critical national asset." He also encouraged the KBC team to take the successful mass production of the carbon/ceramic brake discs used in the Hyper SSR as a stepping stone, continuing to contribute to groundbreaking material innovations in China's automotive braking technology.

Following this, the guests unveiled the new vehicle. Mr. Xi Zhongmin, representing GAC Aion, presented the key box to the new owner—KBC Shares—while Academician Huang personally gifted GAC Aion with a carbon/ceramic disc bearing his signature.

GAC Aion is a leading global enterprise in the new energy vehicle sector, boasting two factories with an annual production capacity of 600,000 vehicles. The company has maintained an average annual compound growth rate exceeding 120%, consistently ranking among the top three in both production and sales within the industry. As the first model under GAC Aion’s premium luxury brand, Hyper昊铂, and also China’s first mass-produced supercar, the SSR is a 100% Chinese-made supercar—entirely designed, developed, and manufactured in-house. It delivers exceptional performance, achieving a mind-bending 0-to-60 mph acceleration in just 1.9 seconds. Additionally, the SSR is the first domestically produced vehicle to feature carbon/ceramic brake discs, marking the inaugural mass-production project for KBC’s advanced carbon/ceramic braking technology.

Before the delivery ceremony, Academician Huang visited the company’s exhibition hall, laboratories, and R&D center, and conducted an in-depth inspection and调研 of the production workshops in the Carbon Valley Industrial Park. He carefully listened to the company’s industrial layout across fields such as photovoltaics, transportation, lithium batteries, hydrogen energy, and semiconductors, gaining a thorough understanding of the company’s development strategy, management culture, and product offerings. Academician Huang expressed his appreciation for the company’s remarkable progress in the leapfrog industrialization of carbon-based materials for civilian applications.

Professor Zhang Dou, Director of the Powder Metallurgy Research Institute at Central South University, accompanied the inspection.
